Isabel Drumond Braga is a Senior Lecturer in History (Professora Associada com Agregação) at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, where she was appointed through public competitive examination in 1990.
She has been a visiting professor at the Federal Fluminense University (Brazil), University of Catania (Italy), Federal University of Uberlândia (Brazil), and State University of Londrina (Brazil).
From 2007 to 2015, she was a professor in the Erasmus+ Programme at the Università degli Studi della Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy), and since 2016 at the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma (UNINT-FIT).
Prof. Dr. Braga she conducts research and teaching focused on social history, gender history, cultural history, history of everyday practices, particularly food history, in the Early Modern and Contemporary periods.
She is a member of research projects in Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Brazil, and currently supervises postdoctoral, doctoral, and MA theses on the fields of history of the inquisition, history of cultural practices, and food history.
